Scavenger hunts are perfect for fun days away from the office or an afternoon of laughs after a morning of meetings.

How It Works

A zoo staff member will welcome your group and explain details about the scavenger hunt you’ve chosen. We’ll go over where answers can be found, the timing and scoring.

Teams will set out in groups of four to six people in search of answers to a variety of zoo questions. Maps are provided to all teams.  

Teams must return to the starting location, where the scores are tallied and bragging rights are granted to top teams. We also share animal artefacts related to the clues on your hunt.

Scavenger Hunt Options:

Geocaching - Canadian Wilds

If your group likes technology and the outdoors, this is the activity for you. Your groups will explore the Canadian Wilds area
of the zoo, using GPS units to find the hidden locations of your questions and answers. (Maximum 90 participants)

Canadian Wilds

If your group is looking for a rugged outdoor experience, this hunt will get them to explore the Rocky Mountains Northern Forest and other scenic habitats in search of animals like bighorn sheep, bears and wolves.

Destination Africa

Looking for a tropical experience, or want to stay inside? This hunt will keep your group indoors between the African Savannah and the TransAlta Rainforest while searching for crocodiles, gorillas, hippos and more.

ENMAX Conservatory

Give your group a picturesque escape from work and keep them out of the cold. This more relaxed hunt will keep the group indoors enjoying butterflies, flowers and lush greenery.

This is an outdoor hunt through the Eurasian section of the zoo. Includes tigers, snow leopards and red pandas! A great addition to a BBQ event.
