Siberian Musk Deer
Long canines for a herbivore
Male Siberian musk deer are distinguished by their long canine teeth, which can grow up to 10 centimetres in length and grow continuously throughout their lives. These canines are used in battles with other males for territory and mating rights. True to their name, Siberian musk deer are produce musk, a distinctive odour that helps males attract mates.
