Malayan Tapirs: Our Malayan tapirs will not be viewable on Tuesday, January 28th, and Wednesday, January 29th, while their habitat undergoes maintenance.
Land of Lemurs Walkthrough & Outdoor Gorilla Amphitheatre: The two outdoor animal viewing areas are closed for the season. Lemurs and gorillas will be viewable in their indoor habitats.
African Savannah Yard: Our Hartmann’s mountain zebras and ostriches are off-view while we complete exciting upgrades in the African Savannah Yard, including the construction of a new Savannah Barn for the animals. Our giraffe tower will continue to be viewable throughout the project.

Bite-Sized
It’s with heavy hearts that we say said goodbye to ‘Wilbur,’ our senior wild boar. Our Animal Care, Health & Welfare team made the compassionate decision to euthanize him due to age-related degenerative changes, including progressive stiffness and lameness, that were no longer responding to treatments.
Wilbur was born in 2012 and joined us in 2013, quickly becoming a visitor favorite with his playful mud wallows. He will be missed by his dedicated care team, along with his sounder mates, ‘Fern’ and ‘Poppy’.
