Introducing ‘Trista’ and ‘Isolda’

January 24, 2025 | 1 minute read

It’s time to hop on over to Penguin Plunge and greet our new additions by name!

Our new female northern rockhopper penguins officially have names inspired by geographical features in their species’ natural range, thanks to their dedicated care team! Meet ‘Isolda’ (white wingband), whose name is inspired by Isolda Rock off the coast of Gough Island found within the Tristan da Cunha group, and ‘Trista’ (brown wingband), whose name is derived from Tristan da Cunha, a group of islands in the south Atlantic Ocean.

We’re thrilled at how quickly these two have settled into their new home. Stop by to meet them today!
