Meet our troop

Bring your family and friends down for a fun and educational morning at the zoo! Enjoy a scrumptious pancake breakfast with a side of gorilla facts from the zoo’s conservation education team, followed by an exclusive visit to see the troop.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about western lowland gorillas: what makes them so amazing, why they are endangered, and, of course, learn ‘who’s who’ in the troop. Beat the crowds and hear all the up-to-date gorilla news at this event for all ages.

When:  

• Saturday, August 24th (Sold Out)

Where: Grazers Restaurant

Time: 7:30am – 9:30am

Schedule: 

• 7:30 a.m. – Guests arrive at Grazers Restaurant for the breakfast buffet and gorilla interpretive chat.
• 9 a.m. – Guests are welcomed into the Rainforest Building to observe the troop as they start their day. During this period, the Rainforest Building is not open to the general public, ensuring an exclusive experience for those attending the gorilla breakfast.
• 9:30 a.m. – The gorilla breakfast experience ends.

Ticket Price:

General (16+): $72.00 + GST
Child (3 -15): $54.00 + GST
Infants (2 and under) are free but do require a ticket.

Additional Booking Information:

• Ticket includes: Admission to the zoo, a full hot breakfast, gorilla interpretive talk and exclusive before hours viewing of the gorilla troop.
• This is a family-friendly and fully accessible experience. Tickets for children 2 and under are free but require a ticket.
• Parking is $13 and is not included. Wild Journey members receive free parking.
• Guests may be seated with other participants during the buffet breakfast and interpretive talk, if you’d like to be seated with friends or family please let us know in advance.
• Wild Adventurer members receive a 10% discount. Members can access their discount by logging into your membership account. If you are unsure of your membership login DO NOT create your own login, please email TicketandMembership@calgaryzoo.com for assistance.
